What You'll Love About Midtown Raleigh

The Culture

Midtown Raleigh, or North Hills as locals know it, is a shopping and dining paradise. North Hills shopping center not only boasts dozens of upscale restaurants and retailers, it's a popular spot for holiday celebrations, fitness programs, and other events.

The Charm

North Hills is named after a large 1950s-era neighborhood of the same name. Drive along the tree-lined boulevards of this community and you'll find beautiful houses filled with character and friendly residents.

The Neighborhoods

North Hills isn't the only neighborhood located in the Midtown area. Many of the communities nearby are closely knit, offer luxurious homes, and are conveniently located near major thoroughfares and I-440.

Local History

Raleigh residents and North Carolinians alike have always found North Hills fascinating. When the North Hills Mall was developed in 1960, it was the first indoor mall to be built between Washington, DC and Atlanta, GA. People would often drive several hours just to visit this mall! Decades later, North Hills entered a renaissance and underwent millions of dollars in modern renovations. The result is stunning, and the North Hills shopping center continues to be a unique place to visit.
